Previews are approximations. Google and Bing don't publish exact limits: they truncate by available width (roughly 600px for desktop titles and around 920px for desktop descriptions with the fonts used here), and they can rewrite titles and descriptions entirely.

    How to use the results

    • Title: keep the important words inside the visible width; around 50–60 characters is a common target.
    • Description: aim for roughly 120–155 characters and put the key point first, since mobile can show less.
    • Keyword: search engines bold words that match the query, so using the phrase people search for (once) helps the snippet stand out.
    • Double quotes: an unescaped " inside the HTML attribute ends the description early — escape it or use single quotes.
