Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser technologies are used on FreeAIContent.com, why we use them, and the choices available to you. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how personal data is handled more generally.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to measure how visitors use a site. Similar technologies such as local storage and pixel tags are used for comparable purposes and are covered by this policy.
Categories of cookies used on this site
1. Strictly necessary
These cookies and browser-storage entries are needed for the site to work as you expect. On FreeAIContent.com they are limited to things like:
- Remembering your light/dark theme preference between visits.
- Core security and load-balancing cookies set by our hosting provider.
Because they are needed for the site to function, these cannot be turned off from inside the site. You can still clear them from your browser settings.
2. Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, events on the site, approximate location (at country/region level), device and browser information, and referring sites. The data is used in aggregate; we do not try to identify individual visitors.
Typical Google Analytics cookies include _ga, _ga_*, and _gid. Their expiry is set by Google and is usually between a few hours and two years.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
3. Advertising
FreeAIContent.com does not currently display advertising and does not set advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any advertising cookies are used.
Managing your choices
Adjust settings in your browser
Every modern browser lets you view cookies stored on your device, block cookies from specific sites, block third-party cookies in general, or clear cookies at any time. You can find instructions in your browser's Help section. Blocking cookies will not break the core site, but it may reset preferences such as the theme toggle.
Opt out of analytics
Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent Google Analytics from running when you visit the site.
Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send a Do-Not-Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how sites should respond to DNT, we do not treat it as an automatic opt-out, but we respect GPC where required by applicable law. The easiest way to reduce tracking is to use the browser controls and opt-out links above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies used on the site change, when new services are added, or when applicable law changes. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page tells you when it was last updated. For material changes we will highlight the update on the site.
