Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information FreeAIContent.com ("we", "us", or "the site") collects when you visit the website, how that information is used, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this document readable; if anything here is unclear, email [email protected].
1. Who we are
FreeAIContent.com is an online publication offering free, browser-based AI content generation tools and written guides on related topics. The site is operated as an independent publisher. For correspondence, see the Contact page.
2. Information we collect
We keep data collection to what is needed to run and improve the site. In practice this covers three categories:
- Information you enter into our tools. Our generator tools (article, blog, headline, social, etc.) run client-side in your browser. The prompts and output are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers or stored by us. If you leave the page, that content is gone.
- Information collected automatically when you browse. This includes standard server and analytics data such as IP address (often truncated), approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, referring page, pages viewed, and time on page. This is collected through Google Analytics and through our hosting provider's server logs.
- Information you provide when you contact us. If you email us at the address above, we keep the email content and your email address so we can reply and follow up.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the website and its tools.
- Understand how visitors find and use the site, which pages are popular, and where usability issues appear.
- Respond to support and feedback emails and investigate bug reports.
- Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical problems.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries, explained in more detail on our Cookie Policy. The main categories are:
- Strictly necessary: used for core site features such as remembering your light/dark theme preference.
- Analytics: set by Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns.
- Advertising: set by Google AdSense and its partners to serve and measure ads, as described below.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so may affect how parts of the site behave.
5. Analytics — Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect data such as pages viewed, events on the site, approximate location, and device information. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on all sites by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on.
6. Advertising — Google AdSense and third-party vendors
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the site. Google and its certified partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.
- As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads on our site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices or YourOnlineChoices.
For more information about Google's advertising practices, see the Google advertising policies.
7. How information is shared
We share information only in the limited ways described here:
- Service providers. Our hosting provider, analytics provider (Google Analytics), and advertising provider (Google AdSense and its partners) process data on our behalf or as independent controllers, as described above.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the site, its users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If the site is ever transferred to a new owner, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would give reasonable notice before any such change of ownership affects your information.
8. International visitors
The site is accessible worldwide. Information collected through the site may be processed in countries other than your own, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards provided by our service providers (for example, Google's standard contractual clauses).
9. Your rights — GDPR (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Object to or restrict certain kinds of processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our legal bases for processing include your consent (for non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests in operating and improving the site, and compliance with legal obligations. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
10. Your rights — California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined by California law). We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies on our site — including those set by Google AdSense and partners — may qualify as "sharing" under California law. You can limit this by using the opt-out mechanisms in the Advertising section above or by sending a request to [email protected].
11. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, email us and we will delete it.
12. Data retention
We keep analytics data for the retention period configured in Google Analytics (currently 14 months). Emails you send us are retained as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and to keep reasonable records of correspondence — typically no longer than 24 months unless a longer period is needed for legal or accounting reasons.
13. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect information that flows through the site. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we ask that you use a modern browser and keep your device up to date.
14. Links to other sites
The site includes links to third-party sites (including tool comparisons and external resources). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites; please review their own policies before providing any information to them.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how the site works, in the services we use, or in applicable law. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of the page is updated whenever the policy changes. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.
16. Contact for privacy questions
For any question about this policy or to exercise a privacy right, email [email protected]. We aim to reply within a reasonable time frame, and in any event within the periods set by applicable law.
